Last September 24, 2016, Snapchat has been renamed as Snap Inc. In addition, the company will be releasing its latest technology called, Spectacles.

Spectacles (video-recording sunglasses) that contains a 15-degree-angle lens that will allow the wearer to record up to 30 seconds of video. A representative from Snap, Inc., stated that the supplies will be limited and will come out in a one-size-fits-all variants of black, teal, or coral. One of the features of the Spectacles is that the wearer will be able to upload the video directly to their Snap app.

Snap CEO Evan Spiegel told the Wall Street Journal that recording video or taking pictures with a phone puts "a wall in front of your face." Spectacles, on the other hand, will allow wearers to record without holding anything, so they can really show off that brunch or keg stand. [1]

Spiegel also added, "It’s about us figuring out if it fits into people’s lives and seeing how they like it.”
