New Search Options for Instagram Stories

Instagram is rolling out new awesome search options for Instagram Stories!

Through location stickers and hashtag stickers, you’ll be able to find more relevant results for your search and interesting discovery options. As per Instagram, “You’ll see a new story ring at the top of Explore filled with stories happening near you. These stories come from people who have used location stickers on their stories. You can also search for any location around the world, and you’ll see a story ring for that place at the top of the location page.”

This opens better opportunities for you to find relevant ideas on what you’re trying to look for related to a specific location. In addition, Instagram also added hashtag stories on the explore section. You can now collect public image posts with a specific subject using Instagram’s customizable hashtag stickers. Instagram stated, “When you search for a hashtag, you may see a story ring at the top of the page filled with stories using that hashtag.”

In addition, you may access the statistics of your posts and see how many views your post has received. If you wish to remove your content from the listing, simply click the “x” button at the right side of your screen.

In the business world, these new options provide extra opportunities for exposure which is a relevant thing for one’s digital marketing strategy. The new search options will make it easier for brands to be found by their audience. Although this will take some time and experimentation to be effective, it’s time for marketers to take advantage of it; the new trend to boost exposure on social media.

Another update would be the new “archive option”. You’ll be able to remove posts from your main feed and at the same time save them; you can keep them and you don’t have to totally delete them out. And in the business aspect, if brands want to archive some posts that didn’t perform well, they can just remove and keep them for reference – to improve and make better content later on.
