Instagram releases its Latest Feature called "Collections"

Instagram is adding a new option to help users organize ideas on the platform. Users will be able to save posts they like into their “Collections”.

How to save a post into your Collections:

  1. Tap and hold the bookmark icon on the lower left side of any post you like.
  2. You’ll see an option to save the post to a Collection, or if you’ve already created one, you can just select it. You can also create a new collection if you want.
  3. You can access your Collections by going to the ‘Saved’ tab on your profile.

As explained by Instagram,

“You can also create a collection out of your existing saved posts. Tap the plus icon in the top right corner, give your collection a name and select the saved posts you’d like to add.”

It looks like Pinterest, right? The difference is that Instagram’s ‘Collections’ is private. Now you can keep videos, pictures, and items you want to remember. Plus, if you are an online shopper on Instagram, this feature will make it easier for you to save the items you want or plan to purchase later on.

Collections is a new feature that’s going to be very useful for the users, not only for personal things that you’d like to save, but also for shopping and gathering data for business purposes.

Collections is available on both iOS and Android in version 10.16.
